Richard Way

A seasoned overseas property commentator, Richard is a regular contributor to A Place in the Sun magazine, as well as PropertyGuides.com, Rightmove Overseas, Business Destinations and FX specialist Smart Currency Exchange. He was previously editor of A Place in the Sun and before that Everything Spain magazine.

Richard has also co-edited a book on buying in Spain, chaired and sat on panels at A Place in the Sun Live seminars, given radio interviews (including for the BBC), consulted on expat issues with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and judged the AIPP industry awards.

Published and quoted in the national press, Richard’s 17 years’ experience includes positions in business publishing, including stints at the Daily Mail Group’s World Media division and the Energy division of Financial Times Business.

Besides Europe, Richard has travelled as far as Florida, Botswana, Jamaica and Cape Verde reporting on property. He is a regular visitor to the northern Costa Brava, where he has a holiday home and spends much of his time sampling menu del dias.
